This policy explains what information the Climate & Population website (climateandpopulation.org) handles, why, and what choices you have. Information you send us
Contact form. When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. The form sends this information by email to info@climateandpopulation.org so that we can read and answer your message. The website does not save form submissions in its database. Your message is kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
Email. If you write to us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to respond.
We do not use the information you send us for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Technical information
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps technical logs of requests, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site working and secure.
Cookies
- The website sets a language cookie (
pll_language) to remember whether you are using the English or Arabic version. - WordPress sets login cookies only for site administrators who sign in to manage the website.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Embedded content and external services
- YouTube. Some pages contain embedded YouTube videos. When a page with a video loads, your browser connects to YouTube, which may collect information and set cookies under Google’s own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. The Arabic pages load the “IBM Plex Sans Arabic” typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to download it.
- External links. The site links to external data tools, partner websites and social media pages. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.
Sharing
We do not share personal information with third parties, except with the technical service providers needed to host the website and deliver email, or where we are required to do so by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold from your messages, or to correct or delete it, by writing to info@climateandpopulation.org. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but it may not remember your language choice.
